Back End .NET Developer

We are assisting our client to identify a number of Back end developers to join in the headquarters based in Qatar.

Note, due to the current Covid-19 situation our client will likely look to onboard people on a remote contract basis initially with the view to then flying out to Qatar once travel restrictions are lifted. Our client do ultimately want to hire permanent staff, so eventually these position will transition to permanent.

The original permanent budget is noted below, obviously this will be tax free and would also include associated benefits; so contract rates will be higher to take these aspects into consideration.

"QAR 26 - 27 K /month + benefits

The Back-End developer is responsible for the system that supports the front-end application. Their role is to integrate the application with all required systems and services and provide clean/easy to use APIs for the frontend application. Although their work is usually hidden from the user, they bear the full responsibility for the application functionality, performance and scalability. They know how to write clean modern APIs, integrate with legacy systems and work with databases

Skills / Environment

*.NET 1.0 - .NET 4.7.2 (Core)

*C#

*Oracle, SQL Server

*WCF, ASP.NET Web API, 1-2, Web Services (old school)

*Entity Framework 1-6, ADO.NET

*TFS, Azure DevOps

Responsibilities:

*Design and develop the business logic and backend systems of the product

*Work closely with frontend developers to design and develop functional, performing and complete APIs

*Decipher existing companies' software systems and be able to hook in application to applicable data sources

*Write both unit and integration tests, and develop automation tools for daily tasks

*Develop high quality, well documented, and efficient code

Experience

*3+ years experience as a back-end developer

*Relevant degree (e.g. computer science) or experience

*Strong understanding of Agile methodologies

*Experience as a Developer on a cross-functional agile team preferred
