Software Engineer / C++ Developer (FinTech Linux Distributed Systems Python SQL). Global investment management firm is seeking an ambitious Software Engineer to play a key role in their international team and work on a strong pipeline of mission-critical projects.
In this Software Engineer role you'll have the chance to refine your technical craft on cutting edge technologies, as you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining the global realtime risk management software.
The organisation combines deep expertise in trading, cutting edge technology and operations and scientific research to deliver high-quality, uncorrelated returns for their prestigious client base.
As a Software Engineer you'll take ownership of the design, development and testing of C++ real-time software for risk management, partnering closely with quantitative researchers and technologists business-wide to ensure global consistency, and to maximise the re-use of software components. You'll also work within technology operations, providing 2nd and 3rd line support as required with the chance to develop your technical skills using diverse technologies.

Requirements:
You have strong C / C++ development experience on Linux
You have experience of code optimisation and high performing applications
You have good working knowledge of distributed system design
You're capable of developing scalable, robust software components as part of a global team
You're degree educated in Engineering, Computer Science or related subject
Beneficial: experience with exchange connectivity / Python / SQL
