Senior Research Engineer / Solutions Architect - IoT / Connected ProductsSenior Research Engineer / Solutions Architect | SAAS | IoT | Network Applications & Integration | Cloud based infrastructure | Coding & Development | Permanent | Job | ReadingSenior Research Engineer / Solutions Architect required to join an ambitious applied research team in a well known engineering company based in Reading.The Senior Research Engineer will actively explore emerging trends & technologies, to develop experimental proof of concepts with potential global rollout. Qualifications, skills and experience required:The candidate should have awareness of emerging technology landscape, with hands-on experience of:Development of API driven proof of concepts,Requirement analysis & specification of SaaS architectureContinuous Integration, deployment & testing requirements with existing systemsKnowledge of scalability, security, data privacy and futureproofing concernsEvaluating case studies for enhancing customer value in wider ecosystemExperimentally validating hypotheses to establish business modelProject planning and technical report writing, for suppliers and for management reviews.Strong communication skills are essential for building working relationships within and outside of the company.Qualifications, skills and experience required:University Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Communication, Information Technology, or equivalentProven knowledge of communication protocols for example and not limited to: TCP/IP, HTTPS and MQTTKnowledge of network / applications integration experience with cloud based / IoT technology is desirableKnowledge of major cloud services and IOT solutions (AWS/ Azure)Excellent and broad technical knowledge - Understanding of a wide variety of connectivity technologies and how they interact.An adept communicator, able to build good relationships across multiple complex teams is a key skill.Proactive and must demonstrate high-level of self-motivation.A flexible attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure.The role requires occasional travel overseasSenior Research Engineer / Solutions Architect | SAAS | IoT | Network Applications & Integration | Cloud based infrastructure | Coding & Development | Permanent | Job | Reading If this sounds like you then please hit apply now!
