As a Database Developer, day to day you'll be involved with projects that span database engineering (e.g. deploying, scaling or managing database infrastructure) and working with teams to optimise business performance, on Schema design, architecture planning, technology selection and more.

The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter, passionate about open source technology. Ideally, you will have experience in more than one database (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, Clickhouse, InfluxDB etc.) and a good ability to automate using a language such as Python or Go.

Requirements:

You have significant experience working with open source database(s)

You are passionate about solving challenging business problems with cutting-edge technology

You're comfortable using programming languages for automated tasks (Python, Go etc.)

You have experience using Linux to understand and troubleshoot an overall system

You're proficient with SQL

Desirable: experience working on petabyte scale data warehouses and distributed database systems, you have industry experience in finance / trading, you have experience with Python / Kafka / ETL pipelines
