A Developer is required for our client based in Leicester for an initial 2 year fixed term contract. The successful candidate will have experience of software development, ideally experienced with SQL.
Our client has a unique opportunity for a talented Developer to join their specialist team. As a valued member of the IT team, your role will be pivotal in improving the quality of the work through integration of existing systems and automating processes.
Primarily you will develop solutions using K2 BPM tools for which training is available for candidates who can demonstrate relevant software development experience. You will also support and maintain existing solutions where required.
You will have experience of using Visual Studio, SSIS, SSRS and PowerShell. You will also have an understanding of SQL databases with the skills to interrogate and extract data, create tables, views and stored procedures.
Working as part of a varied IT team, you will be entrusted to work autonomously. As project work forms a large part of the role, you will understand the phases of a development project and be expected to implement these. You will create, document and implement test plans and scripts, create and maintain technical documentation for all solution developments and ensure change management is carried out in accordance with agreed standards. Additionally, you will be able to manage the demands of ad-hoc support requests against project timelines.
You will have evidence of continual professional development in the IT industry. You will have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail as well as having the ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge and skills.
