DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer (Ruby AWS Data). Global data-streaming organisation is seeking a skilled technologist with a DevOps mindset and broad technical skillset to enhance their capabilities as they build the infrastructure to power and shape the future of the internet.

They are responsible for streaming billions of real-time messages to millions of end-users for thousands of developers across the world.

In this DevOps Engineer role you'll get stuck in at granular level to build solutions to improve availability, performance and stability of the core cutting edge platform as well as taking ownership of developing new network services. You'll have the chance to collaborate with other highly talented engineers to resolve problems at internet scale, optimsing the efficiency and output of a market-leading organisation.

This DevOps Engineer role you'll work with an up-to-the-minute infrastructure stack. You'll also be granted the freedom to take ownership of the code of the full development lifecycle of the features you work on, from the initial stages through to the global rollout.

Day to day you'll be writing code for infrastructure automation, orchestration, configuration and CI testing and making extensive use of a wide range of AWS services. You'll have the chance to collaborate with the wider engineering team to design and implement new features and services.

Requirements:

You have professional scripting / coding experience with Ruby

You have experience working with AWS (or other cloud providers)

You have a solid background working with Linux

You have experience working with data services (e.g. Cassandra)

You are a positive team player, committed to delivering scalable, high quality code
