Role OverviewWe are currently looking for an experienced Microbiologist to become a Microbiology Manager, leading the Environmental Monitoring team with a leading Pharmaceutical company in South West England. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of support for the environmental monitoring scientists and you will provide training to the team on environmental monitoring methods and water sampling. Duties and Responsibilities You will supervise, oversee, observe and qualify all of the technicians with the microbiological methods and water sampling activities.Leading and implementing improvements to the environmental monitoring programme will be among your duties.You will write and updating SOP's and conduct investigations as well as initiate and execute CAPA's.You will be responsible for conduction monthly one-to-one reviews with team members and provide support for their progression, setting objectives.You will organise and schedule environmental monitoring activities to support manufacturing processes. Education and ExperienceBSc or MSc in a relevant scientific discipline such as, but not limited to, Microbiology.Previous industry experience working within a Pharmaceutical company as a Microbiologist with good understanding and experience of Environmental Monitoring.Previous industry experience of aseptic manufacturing, working in a QC Laboratory or cleanroom and working to GMP regulations is essential.
