Our client is looking for a passionate, hard-working, and talented Software Developer/ Lead Developer to join a growing team.

This is a hands development role but the right person will have a input into the development techniques and will be expected to express their own views on the right technologies to enable the business to continue its high growth trajectory. The day to day duties of the role will design, develop and maintain great solutions for their customers. You will lead and work as part of a small, agile and dynamic team based in Exeter. This role requires an ability to investigate, research and solve technical challenges, working closely with decision makers in other departments, identifying, recommending, documenting and implementing high quality, cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the business. Solutions you develop will have both external and internal impact, visible to external customers and partners, and improving the efficiency. This opportunity suits a highly motivated and talented full stack developer who wants to apply and grow their technical depth and breadth. Your creative ideas and energy to the team will be a significant contributor to the thriving success of the company.

The right person will have proven experience in:

  • PHP (Ideally PHP 7), MySQL, working with MVC frameworks in a Linux environment
  • In-depth knowledge of front-end standards such as HTML5, JavaScript and jQuery
  • Building complex software systems in an agile environment
  • Cloud technologies - Azure/AWS
  • Communicating with users, other technical teams and senior management, to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
  • Understanding computer science fundamentals including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis - Designing and building data-driven web applications, integrating with third party RESTful APIs
  • Attention to detail, analytical thinking, methodical, problem solving ability, and strong time management skills
  • Experience of Nodejs and Ruby would be a plus" change to "Experience of other programming language such as Nodejs, Java, C++ and Ruby would be a plus."
