You'll be joining an investment management firm, sitting within the tech pod and building out a greenfield platform. You'll be responsible for their complex application suite, owning and constantly improving it. You'll be maintaining the Order Management/ Risk/ Booking platform - it's based off Kafka/ Apache Spark and React.js, so a working knowledge of these programmes is essential.
You'll be the go-to within your pod and enjoying huge amounts of autonomy. There's a lot of fluidity with this role, so you'll dabble with Risk, Market Data, Strategy Tools and whatever else you fancy getting involved in.
There's a collaborative atmosphere in the office, and you'll be working closely with senior engineers, and the Head of Engineering, to create and adapt release plans in-line with business needs.
Ideally, you'll have experience using Java, Kafka, Docker and SQL. If you've got experience in the finance sector, you'll be in pretty good stead, so highlight this on your CV.
