IT Support Analyst - 2nd Line EngineerWindows Server & Desktop Genealogy, Virtualisation, Storage, Cloud and NetworkingStratford upon Avon - £25,000pa to £28,000pa + Pension + O/T + On-CallJob Description:The client are one of the UK's leading independent provider of IT infrastructure services, enabling users and their businesses.Their IT division is looking to recruit a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer, who will report to the IT Service Manager, based at the Stratford Upon Avon Office.The successful post-holder will act as a technical resource within IT department and play a key role in supporting and helping maintain our existing customer base with their IT infrastructure, systems and services within SLA guidelines adhering to ITIL best practices.This is a genuine career opportunity for a talented 2nd Line IT Support Engineer / Technician.You will need be familiar and confident with Windows Server & Desktop, Virtualised, Cloud and Cisco networking technologies. On offer is a key position working on a broad range of the latest technology, with a team of talented colleagues.Your day to day responsibilities will consist of:Support, configuration, maintenance, and support of infrastructure and systemsOffer expertise within the team for the resolution of 2nd Line technical incidents and problemsMaking a significant contribution in delivering value in terms of improving customer service & satisfaction and operational efficiency.Support, coach and mentor the more junior members of the team, leading by exampleDevelop, produce and maintain IT documentation and following IT procedures as required DesiredStrong knowledge or a good understanding in these key areas will be advantageous:Microsoft Server technologies; MS Server, Active Directory Services, Group PolicyWindows Remote DesktopVirtualisation - VMware and/or Hyper-VServer Hardware: HPE & Dell Servers.vSphere, HA, Citrix XenAppMicrosoft Azure, Office 365Backup/Archiving technologies; Veeam Backup and ReplicationServer Networking including TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCPScripting knowledge (PowerShell)Disaster Recovery, Replication and Recovery servicesStorage technologies: SAN (HPE)Experience supporting SME / Enterprise level infrastructuresExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills to achieve prompt resolutionStrong experience of incident and problem management including 3rd party service providersCapable of managing concurrent projectsSolid operational understanding of service management standards and tools; ITIL V3 Foundation qualifiedIndustry recognised qualifications including but not limited to Microsoft Certified (MCSA, MCSE)
