C# Developer / Backend Software Engineer (C# .NET). Key partner to the financial services / trading space is seeking an accomplished C# Developer to join their highly successful development teams and work on cutting-edge technologies.

As a C# Developer you will have the opportunity to expand your technical knowledge and work to your strengths on a variety of exciting projects. You'll play an active role in a Scrum team covers architecture, core development and features; taking ownership for solutions from specification through to implementation and deployment.

There's a strong pipeline of projects, including developing NLP functionality, using OCR confidence metrics, handling data reconciliation using MapReduce. As a C# Developer you'll work with RESTful APIs to connect to an enterprise digital backbone to the introduction of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence - all projects will be diverse, technical, and highly rewarding.

As a C# Developer, you'll play an integral role in advancing the product roadmap and shaping the organisation's broader strategic vision. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with high achieving development teams across the company, identifying relevant use cases to improve and extend the core application. You'll provide key support across the back end, scaling cloud environments using containers, .NET Core and microservices.

Requirements:

You have a degree (BSc / MSc / PhD 2.1 or above) in a STEM subject discipline

You have experience of software development using the .NET Framework

You have experience using OCR / MapReduce / REST / Docker

You have a good knowledge of Excel / Access (to support users to transfer skills on core platform)

You have evidence of taking responsibility for solutions design, from specification through to implementation and deployment

You're a passionate technologist, keen to keep pace with emerging technologies and able to translate complex technical information to a variety of audiences

Desirable: experience with AI / Machine Learning
