Software Engineer / C++ Developer (Linux Distributed Systems Python SQL). Are you a multi-skilled Software Engineer looking for your next challenge? Would you like an opportunity to play a key role in an accomplished international team in a leading global investment management firm?

In this Software Engineer role you'll have the chance to refine your technical craft on cutting edge technologies, as you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining the global realtime risk management software. The organisation combines deep expertise in trading, cutting edge technology and operations and scientific research to deliver high-quality, uncorrelated returns for their prestigious client base.

As a Software Engineer you'll work on a strong pipeline of mission-critical projects, taking ownership of the design, development and testing of C++ real-time software for risk management. You'll partner closely with quantitative researchers and technologists business-wide to ensure global consistency, and to maximise the re-use of software components. You'll also work within technology operations, providing 2^nd and 3^rd line support as required with the chance to develop your technical skills using diverse technologies.

Requirements:

You have strong C / C++ development experience on Linux

You have experience of code optimisation and high performing applications

You have good working knowledge of distributed system design

You're capable of developing scalable, robust software components as part of a global team

You're degree educated in Engineering, Computer Science or related subject

Beneficial: experience with exchange connectivity / Python / SQL
