Front End Web Developer who has experience and is fully competent with HTML, CSS / Sass and JavaScript is required for a well-established Company based in Liverpool, Merseyside, North West England.

Graduates with some previous relevant commercial experience working with HTML, CSS / Sass and JavaScript will also be considered.

 

SALARY: up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Benefits (See Below)

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Front End Web Developer who has experience and is fully competent with HTML, CSS / Sass and JavaScript.

Working as the Front End Web Developer you will work within the Digital Product Teams to build and maintain a range of inhouse Web and Mobile applications.

As the Front End Web Developer, you will work in a variety of e-Commerce, pre-paid card, and business rewards solutions, tasked with delivering clean, intuitive and highly interactive user experience, underpinned by lean, well-managed code design principles.

Working in a small UI specialism, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the digital development community where your experience and suggestions will be welcomed in influencing the evolution of the customer experience design & delivery.

 

ABOUT YOU

You will already be a capable Front End Web Developer with some previous commercial experience. You are naturally inquisitive about digital technology and recognise the benefit of good UI architecture and design in order to deliver and maintain the best possible user experience. You want to expand your skills and looking for a role where you can feel a tangible sense of collaborative ownership with like-minded professionals.

You are pragmatic in your approach, recognising the need to evolve product and platform to deliver continuously improving user experience. You are self-motivated, care passionately about the quality of what you do and can demonstrate evidence of this through your portfolio.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

Previous commercial experience using a range of technology and are fully competent with HTML, CSS / Sass and JavaScript

You are comfortable working in a multi-disciplined environment and familiar with collaborative code management practises

You are aware of the impact of performance and understand how to improve load and render times

 

DESIRABLE

Experience in developing mobile app UI (native or hybrid)

Experience in creating/working within NodeJS or React applications

You have a good understanding of build tools such as Grunt, Gulp, Webpack or similar

Interest in accessibility and how it applies to user interface design

Any experience of build & deployment automation
