GIS Analyst - LondonFibre Broadband MediaGIS, CAD, ArcGIS, QGIS, MapInfo, GPON, FTTP, ISP, Fibre Optic, Broadband Networks & Telecoms, Network Planning, Network Design, Fibre Mapping, Database Management, Coding, Network Packs Validation Packs and Handover Packs.£30,000pa to £40,000pa DoE + Benefits including Career Progression & Personal DevelopmentLondon Based, West EndThis dynamic and growing network services provider are seeking a methodical, analytical and challenge motivated GIS Analyst to be based at their HQ in London.To be the ideal fit, you will be a "logical thinker" with previous experience gained in a Telecoms / GIS background. Previous use of GIS, network planning and database management are key factors.A Logical Mind and a Logical Dynamic coupled with excellent communication skills are key!A good understanding of FTTP and Broadband media or Telecoms networks design is desirable.You will be responsible for the completion of your scheduled GIS and planning requirements.You will be working on the production of a design platform that supports and associated tools to support the planning and build of the outside plant network in the London area.You will be using MapInfo and utilising your experience of open source and other ancillary geographic analysis tools as well as Microsoft office suite.You will be producing survey maps to support the survey team, checking subsequent survey packs for completeness and alignment with the Network Plan.You will be updating various graphical file sets such as .DXF, Google KML and MapInfo TAB files with as built information received from the field.You will be conducting detailed fibre mapping to meet design specs for fibre customer installations.You will also be liaising with internal and external teams and other third parties as part of your roleAny Coding and Database Management expertise will be highly desirableWith a solid background in Telecoms, the experience you have gained will need to include:Excellent GIS / CAD experience within network planning environmentA minimum of 2 years of GIS / Planning experienceArcGIS and/or QGISMapInfo,An understanding of Fibre Optics in a Telecoms environmentAn understanding of PONStrong personal track record of achievement within a related environment.Strong personal track record of achievement within a related environment.Exceptional PC skillsHaving great communication skills is also necessary as you will also be liaising with the Provisioning and Installations teams.Highly Desirable Experience to Include:Experience with OSPinsightExperience with Fibre PlanITExperience with other drafting/GIS tools such as AutoCAD, Smallworld etc.Previous experience with large network and telecoms carriers such as BT Openreach, Virgin Media will be advantageous.Take this opportunity to rise above your peers and secure a role to elevate your career.
