Infrastructure Engineer

City of London

Platform | Infrastructure | VMware | Hyper V | ILTIL | ITMS | Server | Storage | Backup

Spring Technology is currently working in partnership with a leading institution to recruit a Infrastructure Engineer based in the City of London. Within this role you'll support the running of severs, storage and backup platform infrastructure, hosted via HyperV and VMware.

Responsibilities:

*Successfully deliver server, storage and backup infrastructure services within SLA's

*Manage the resolution of major incidents

*Responsible for security, backups and monitoring

*Responsible for mentoring junior staff within the platform team

*Responsible for identifying/undertaking service improvements

*Taking ownership of projects through to delivery

Requirements:

*Strong experience of VMware and Hyper-V

*Microsoft Windows Server operating systems

*Storage solutions

*Experienced in working with IT service management, including change, incident, service improvement and problem management

*Experience of working with ITIL based Service processes and functions including ITSM tools.

*Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Operating systems

*Excellent working knowledge of HPE Converged systems including blade servers & chassis, HP Virtual Connect switches & HP network switches

*Familiarity of Linux based server operating systems

*Familiarity of object based storage solutions

*Familiarity of public cloud solutions
