My Government client requires a data strategy lead to oversee the output of the data and information capability within the organisation.
The Data Strategy Lead with specialist skills will build a team and organisational capability responsible for providing Information, Data and Records Management direction, support and governance in support of my clients strategic objectives.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES, OUTPUTS & DELIVERABLES:
Ensure the outputs of the overall Data and Information capability
Assuring outputs are in line with strategy and strategy in line with requirements of the organisation.
Providing input into strategic activities from a technical perspective.
Validating and communicating analytical outputs with the Regional Interlock.
Advise the business on viability of analytics requests during origination
Work with business stakeholders to develop hypotheses based on data discovery.
Advise on development of use cases.
Provide rigorous review of process and outputs to ensure the robustness of the analytics outputs delivered to customers.
Liaise with Regional Interlock and Business Architect throughout use case development to ensure business requirements are translated into technical requirements, and validate analytical insights.
Communicate outputs to non-technical audiences, in both verbal and written formats (e.g. validate analytical insights with business; visualisation of analytics outputs; provide input into development of final output to be handed over to the business).
Provide input into strategic analytics activities (e.g. refreshing vision and strategy, developing and refreshing roadmap (capacity of Hub), capability development from a technical perspective, refreshing processes and standards).
Work within data discovery and analytical modelling.
Work with different datasets of different sizes and shapes, perform data ingestion, preparation, manipulation and exploratory, targeted data discovery.
Monitor major analytics initiatives and act as a point of escalation
Input in development of scorecards (metrics and targets to measure statistical validity of model).
Monitoring of complex analytical outputs.
Ensure the delivery of complex analytics work with data discovery and analytical modelling to innovatively use data to discover signals, patterns, and relationships to answer specific business questions/ hypotheses.
Lead on statistical evaluation of analytical output (e.g. model) and periodic review of produced models; refresh/ retire models.
Advise business with putting analytics output into production.
Advise on Data Modelling best practice.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Excellent understanding of analytics outputs to business requirements
Ability to formulate and write policy.
Report writing/drafting skills to Board Level.
Proficient in the use of information technology.
Operational analytics experience.
A combination of private and public sector employment.
Proven experience of leading and managing a multifunctional team.
Experienced in effective decision making with accountability for decisions made.
