Data Protection and Information Manager (SC Cleared), Risk, Data Compliance, Data Modelling, Legal Compliance, Dissemination of Data, Data Management Solutions,Our Central Government client based in London are recruiting for a Data Protection and Information Manager. The role requires SC Security Clearance.The request is for an Advisory and Liaison Manager to interact with all data projects across the client- both those in-flight and those in the planning stages. Furthermore it is to provide guidance to these projects on best practice and policy as well as market trends to solve any data related queries a project may have about using data in a consistent manner.The RoleAct as data protection and information manage function, cultivating a culture of compliance-by-design - this will involve embedding information assurance standards and compliance policies and ensuring complianceAct as point of liaison between central Legal function to ensure that any risks are identified and mitigated through escalation and that the client remains fully legally compliant with existing data protection laws and statutory responsibilities of policing.Work with legal counsel and spokes to coordinate the production and dissemination of data sharing agreements.Own and manage the client relationship with information management arms of host organisation.Manage and maintain client's compliance with policing information management and information assurance policies, reporting escalations as needed.Work with Data Platform Lead and Solution/Technical Architect to ensure information assurance policies are embedded into the client platform.Review and approve data management solutions and initiatives that impact the client.Manage issues relating to the performance and conduct of officers in line with Agency values/policy.Manage/coach and develop client officers.Advise on Data Modelling best practice.Key Skills / ExperienceProven and up to date knowledge in trends for solving data problemsProven interpersonal skillsPlanning and organisational skillsInformation technology skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Drafting/report writing skills.Analytical skillsProven experience of supervision or first line management.Experienced in effective decision making.Experience of analysing information from a range of sources.Either private and public sector employment experience
