We are looking for an IT Security and Disaster Recovery Lead to join our Operations & Security team, to play a key role in ensuring the security and recovery of services and technologies as well as the overall IM&T (Information Management and Technology) service. You will achieve this through balancing risks with business drivers, supporting projects to achieve secure and effective outcomes, and actively managing the security and recoverability of operational services.

Day to day, you will deliver the security and recovery strategy, developing and updating information security policies and guidelines, including corporate security testing standards. You will also develop the countermeasures and contingency plans to mitigate security risks and impact to services, culminating within a robust business continuity and disaster recovery plan. Working with internal stakeholders you will provide advice and guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks and business requirements and actively promote compliance and a culture of security throughout RSSB.

You will have extensive knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 and good knowledge of GDPR controls and Service Organisation compliance (SOC) relating to organisational and technical security controls. This will be combined with experience of developing and delivering security policies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this role as well as a collaborative style and customer centric approach.
