We are responsible for the Technology Operations and for managing our IT Suppliers, and we guarantee the Information Security for our Partners and our Customers. We also have ownership of Business Intelligence across TSB. The Technical Operations Manager in the Infrastructure Operations & Service delivery team support the Senior Technical Operations Manager - Cloud Platforms in the delivery of both customer and colleague facing technology to the Bank.  Providing expertise, support and administration to plan, implement, maintain and administer infrastructure and platforms to support TSB's business processes, this role is responsible for supporting the end to end operation of Data Platforms. Key responsibilities include: Support the Senior Technical Operations Manager in the provision of service and operational excellence for TSB in the field of Cloud Platform technologies, through the effective and efficient management and integration of key suppliers and internal teams Liaise with IT suppliers and internal teams to deliver operational excellence that meets agreed service levels and budgets Support and administer the development of solutions that expand or enhance the service and technology portfolios, automate IT operations, reduce costs or increase levels of service Identify and assess risks, and implement countermeasures Participate in the resolution of incidents and problems under direction from Technical Operations Managers or Incident & Recovery Managers; provide technical operational support to the resolution and recovery of normal operations following Critical and Major Incidents Participate in the evaluation of Requests for Change to align services with business needs, maximise value whilst minimising incidents and rework; liaison with suppliers and making recommendations to Technical Operations Managers Improve the standard of technical delivery, knowledge and competencies within CIO and across the business relevant to Cloud Platform technologies Input to the technical design authority, including drafting and submitting technical proposals, and reviewing  progress to ensure they meet business needs Ensure that all infrastructure and platforms are developed, implemented and operated in a manner that supports appropriate levels of resilience and performance Deputise for the Senior Technical Operations Managers and other Technical Operations managers as required We'd love you to have these skills and experience: Ability to create and maintain a culture and vision where colleagues are engaged and inspired to deliver within budget and timelines for their customers Ability to build and develop the culture of the CIO function as a key member of the IT Production Services Leadership Team, and supports the development of the CIO culture across TSB Ability to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment Strong planning and organising skills Ability to manage technical operations simultaneously whilst balancing business priorities and quality Ability to think strategically and evaluate options in the short, medium and long term Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally Ability to succinctly disseminate important messages to an executive audience Excellent influencing and persuasion skills with the ability to enthuse and inspire multidisciplinary teams and build successful relationships at all levels Clear decision-making ability with the facility to judge complex situations and assess when to escalate issues Ability to balance conflicting and changing demands through prioritisation and a pragmatic approach Self motivated, able to work on own initiative and able to work collaboratively and constructively within project and discipline teams Demonstrate business leadership skills and the ability to communicate a clear vision If you'd like to get stuck in and be part of the TSB team, hit Apply.
