Overall, a successful, award winning London based investment boutique with an initial focus on structured credit with a diversified product and service offering.Job descriptionAs Legal Counsel reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel, you will be at the forefront of provision of legal advice, drafting of complex transaction documentation across a wide range of product lines, and multi-jurisdictional business development projects. You will also be responsible for drafting policies and procedures.You will assist in devising legal and litigation strategies for a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters, reviewing structured credit transactions and business development projects with frequently complex, idiosyncratic features. You will be expected to review, advise and structure complex corporate and financial transactions assessing multi-faceted legal, compliance, transactional and risk related issues.You will also be assisting in the preparation of documentation for court and quasi litigious matters primarily in England, Ireland Wales and New York as well as advising on best practice on legal and regulatory compliance obligations, rules of evidence, court procedures, corporate governance and assisting and preparing documentation and caseload files in connection with contentious and quasi contentious matters as well as assisting in preparing Memoranda for Business Development Projects.Key responsibilitiesIn this Qualified Solicitor position, your responsibilities will include:

Job requirements

'€¢Fully qualified solicitor, having completed a 2 year training contract.'€¢A degree from university, GDL or LPC with a top academic record throughout.'€¢A great eye for detail, and the ability to keep many plates spinning at once.'€¢The confidence to work both autonomously and as part of a team.'€¢Ability to work under pressure.
