Network Security Design Engineer

My client is currently recruiting for a Network Security Design Engineer on a 6-12 month contract basis located in Aberdeen (remote working option available until after Covid-19)

Responsibilities:

Ability to design network and security components in infrastructure.

Install and Configure network and security Devices

Create build and design procedures

Provide operations handover to support team.

Handle escalated network and VOIP related issues.

Ability to review critical changes and assess the impact of the changes

Quality & Process Compliance

Essential Skills:

Firewalls - Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Palo Alto

Proxy Server - Bluecoat, Proxy in the cloud

Load Balancer - F5 LTM, APM

VPN - Strong knowledge on IPSEC and SSL VPN

DNS - Strong understanding of the DNS Bind concept, DNS domain management experience

Routing - Strong knowledge on routing protocols, should have 6+ years of working experience on routing.

Excellent working knowledge on BGP, VRF

Switching - should have excellent switching knowledge.

Strong knowledge on one of the automation platforms and should have knowledge on one

or more scripting languages

Operating Systems - Windows, Linux and Solaris

Certifications:

CCSA

SNPA

CCSP

CCIE (Good to have)

This role is paying up to £400 p/day.
