Currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for a large Energy client with this role based in Melbourne CBD starting with a 6 months contract. My client is looking to add a Senior DevOps Engineer ideally with a strong development background to their team on a 6 months rolling contract starting within the next 2-4 weeks Day to Day tasks include:Work alongside architects, application developers and infrastructure teams to deliver and support rollout of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Devops best practices and modern cloud engineering practices (Containers, Kubernetes) on AzureAutomating and templating deployment of applications, system configuration and security settings in On-Prem and Azure cloudWork with platform teams to design and build pipelines using enterprise Devops tools and frameworks - Terraform, PowerShell, ARM and Ansible.Manage stakeholder expectations, keeping them informed on projects and initiativesDevelop and build platforms and frameworks to allow consistent, traceable and automated management of application and infrastructure releasesDevelop and manage Infrastructure as code to build full stack solutions using Azure Cloud servicesArchitect Devops solutions and patterns suitable for consumption by product teams Skills and experience needed:3+ year's experience as a DevOps EngineerAdvanced knowledge of Devops lifecycle and processes, including experience in the following Jira, VSTS, orchestration (Azure Devops), version control (Git), infrastructure testingExperience with modern cloud engineering practises like containers (Docker), container management (Kubernetes) on AzureUnderstanding of MicroservicesExperience in enabling Devops framework on greenfield programs and developing blue/green deployment approachImplemented infrastructure and application CI/CD pipelines with integration with quality tools (SonarQube, Fortify, Xray)Understanding of infrastructure and application automation using Azure Cloud servicesExperience developing scripts in Terraform, ARM, PowerShell If you would like to have a further discussion about this role please apply as soon as possible and I will give you a call to discuss the role further.For more information please speak to Jamie Hanlon at Progressive IT
