Network Support Engineer Check Point

£450 - £495 per day

6 months ASAP start

Remote for now then possibly office based 2-3 days a week later on depending on situation or full time remote with occasional office visits.

We enjoy a trusted relationship with this global financial services company and act as an external tech recruitment business partner to them. An opportunity has arisen for an additional Network Support Engineer Check Point join the Head office in Southampton.

To provide support and administration of the network infrastructure, covering the Data Centre, workspace, wide area network and cloud technologies.

To cover all aspects of network operations, including LAN switching and routing, Wi-Fi, firewalls, load balancers, proxies, traffic management and monitoring / management toolsets.

The Network Team is a small highly technical team tasked with ensuring the network is available, performant, secure and supportable. The team work closely with other support teams, other service providers and management functions.

The role will be required to support and administer the entire network estate.

Candidates will be able to demonstrate a depth of knowledge and practical experience in the following areas:

*Network (Data Centre / campus / WLAN) knowledge and experience

*Firewall (Check Point) administration expertise

*Firewall (Palo Alto) knowledge

*Monitoring and management tools

*Incident management

*IT Security controls
