Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps (Data Streaming CI/CD Jenkins). Are you a technologist SRE seeking a role where you can work on complex systems, utilise the latest technologies, take ownership and see the impact of your work?
You could be joining a global SaaS technology company that helps large scale organisations to capture, store and retrieve data on a massive scale. As a Site Reliability Engineer / DevOps you will help drive operational burden as close to zero as possible; measuring and improving production reliability through sustainable practices, automating wherever possible.
As the sole SRE in the London office you'll partner with software engineering teams (you'll have fellow SRE colleagues in the US to collaborate with), QA, Security, PaaS and performance engineering teams to continuously improve products in production. The platform leverages Big Data technologies such as Elastic and MongoDB as well as Cloud based technologies. You'll be continually learning new things, using the best tool for the job and integrating new tech and processes.
You'll be based in modern City offices with all the latest kit; there's flexible working including the ability to work from home as well as a complete remote interview and on-boarding process during the current circumstances.
Requirements:
You'll have a wealth of experience as an Site Reliability Engineer SRE / DevOps
You have strong scripting skills with at least one of the following: Python, Ruby, Bash, Perl
You're experienced with CI/CD, Jenkins and Ansible
You are familiar with Data Streaming technologies: Kafka, Flume, Flink, Storm, Spark
You have a good knowledge of Relational Data store / Database: MySQL/ MariaDB, Oracle, PostgreSQL as well as non-Relational Data Store / Database: NoSQL, MongoDB, Redis
Ideally you will also have a good knowledge of Load Balancers (Nginx, MariaDB, Akamai, Edge Nexus, F5, Citrix, Avi, AWS ELB) and Container Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, ECS (Elastic Container Service) or EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), Helios, Salt, Mesos
You're a collaborative team member who is also happy to work fairly autonomously and take ownership
