Job purpose
Our client currently has a vacancy for an Electronics Engineer. This role involves working as part of a small team with specific focus on PCB manufacture. Our client specialise in the design, manufacture and supply of novel power dense, high integrity electronics.
Key responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Electronics Capability to produce bespoke Printed Circuit Boards in support of the manufacture of a wide variety of equipment.
Responsibilities include:
Design and development of electronic circuitsAnalysis of electronic circuitsGeneration of requirements for electronic systemsSchematic and design CapturePCB layout advice and reviewComponent selection, advice and reviewUndertake reasonable tasks as directed by the engineering and project functionsUndertake engineering Tasks as required by the project and the business in support of projects and programsUndertake appraisals of engineers as delegated by the Head of engineering through the engineering hierarchyUndertake internal and external meetings as required by the businessInterface to the customer on technical and project issuesDocument appropriately the work and activities undertaken in line with local operating proceduresUndertake Business roles as delegated through the engineering hierarchyPersonal attributes
Essential
Ability to work in a teamMinimum HNC qualification in relevant subject or commensurate experience in relevant discipline.Rapid learner, flexible and adaptable engineer willing to undertake varied tasks related to the support of the electronics and surrounding systemAn understanding of processes and techniques applicable to electronics manufacturingUnderstanding of basic analogue designUnderstanding of basic digital designAn understanding of schematic capture and drawing reviewCircuit simulationWiring definition experienceAn understanding of PCB Layout supervisionDesirable
