I'm looking for a Software Engineer to join an embedded software team based near Halifax with an exceptional knowledge of C/C++ in an embedded environment, and an understanding of networking i.e. TCP/IP.
You will be involved in all parts of the software life-cycle, from specification and design through to maintenance.

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, whilst interviews will continue, they will be operated remotely via video and the successful candidate will be on-boarded remotely where necessary. Essential Skills
- Exceptional knowledge of C/C++ including in an embedded environment
- A good knowledge of TCP/IP networking, including network troubleshooting
- Understanding of Linux device drivers
- Debugging to hardware level
You will work with Product managers and other engineers to create specifications for new software products.
Planning and Reporting
You will be required to provide estimates for development tasks and contribute towards planning of developments. You will also be required to report progress against schedules.
Software Design and Development
You will work closely with other developers in a cross-functional team. You will design and develop software to meet product requirements and ensure a high standard of quality and reliability. You will also work with product testers to identify and resolve defects.
In this role, you will need to provide support to other R+D teams, production departments and customer support teams. This may require you to work off-site from time to time. Due to the nature of our business some out of hours work and weekend work may be necessary to meet the needs of our customers.
