We have been asked by this global technology consulting organisation to assist in the recruitment of an Asset and Configuration Manager to join the team in Barrow in Furness.

The Asset and Configuration Manager will have responsibility for a team of Asset and Config Analysts, supporting all aspects of ITIL Asset Management. The candidate will also work closely with Change management functions alongside Business Service Managers, Service Desk, the client and suppliers.

Skills / Environment

*Knowledge of desktop products, procurement and operational delivery of services.

*MS Office skills in Word and Excel.

*Asset or Configuration Management experience

*Time management and Communication Skills

*Quality documentation and report writing ability.

*Knowledge of best practice methodologies (ITIL, Deliver etc)

Desirable

*Knowledge of the use of ServiceNow

*Experience of working with 3rd parties

*ITIL v3 Foundation

*Knowledge of the working practices and infrastructure within Data Centres, Operations Centres and Service Desks

Role Overview

*Ensuring that asset management is delivered in line with agreed global policy, process, procedure and meets contract obligations

*Engaging with suppliers to ensure asset management is delivered to the documented Operating Level Agreement

*Performing ITIL compliant Asset Management delivery within the client support organisation

*Day to day administration of the Asset Management Database (AMD)

*Identifying deviations and working through remediation tasks with the appropriate Asset owner

*Highlighting errors in customer CI's and relationships within the AMD

*Supports investigation of root cause analysis to continuously improve data accuracy

*Production of regular and ad-hoc reports related to Asset management

*Work with other Asset Analysts to produce statistics on a daily and monthly basis

*Prepares reports on statistical information and process operation
