A Senior RF IC Design engineer is required to join a successful company working on the design of Analog/RF circuits for wireless communications at their design centre based just North of London. In this role you will be responsible for concept, design, integration and delivery of complex multichip RF IC wireless module solutions for WiFi6 & 5G applications! You will be involved with all aspects of product realisation working with a cross-site team to deliver high-performance RF products to high volume markets. Responsibilities include:Designing RFICs with power amplifiers, LNA, Switch, & Filter content in the 2-9Ghz Frequency for wireless applicationsWorking with a variety of technologies including SOI, SiGe, & CMOS to implement innovative RF circuitryPresentation of detailed design reviewsSupporting customer related issues as requiredIndustry degree qualified, the successful Senior RF IC Design Engineer will have a minimum of 5 years of RF IC and/or MMIC circuit design including knowledge of RF circuit architectures and design tradeoffs such as PA’s, LNA’s, and Switches. Experience in SiGe and HBT Devices is highly desired with experience in CMOS or BiCMOS essential. Experience is also required in some or all of the following:
RF Design/simulation expertise with Cadence toolsExperience with device bias design techniques and fundamentals of Analog IC designWorking knowledge of IC layout techniques in a Cadence Virtuoso environmentExpertise with EM tools for full IC and module level simulationDelivering production products and familiarity with stages of the product development processESD protection techniquesExposure to GaAs HBT Technology & Design. Excellent communication skills in English are required. You will be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving, data analysis and critical thinking skills and have the ability to generate clear technical presentations and data summaries in PowerPoint and Excel.
