PHP Development Team Lead needed to be based in Birmingham! My client -a leading digital agency is looking to hire a PHP Developer /Team Lead to join their team who will be responsible for both the development and the team leading of the team.

The ideal candidate will have back end PHP development experience as well as Agile and ideally Jira as well!

This role will be split into the management and the coding. On the management side you will be responsible for:

*Managing the development team on a day to day basis as well as undertaking regular 1:1 and performance review meetings with the development team.

*Provide realistic reports on workload and advise of production under/over capacity if applicable.

*Use existing software development experience to provide advice and guidance to the software development team as required.

*Manage scheduled and extraordinary roll-outs of software systems according to the prescribed procedures.

*Ensure that work from software development team is tested and fit for roll-out.

*Assist in the recruitment of new team members.

On the development side you will be responsible for:

*Implementing software development projects and tasks.

*Implementing and testing software development projects to quality standards established by the team.

*Use best practice software development techniques and methodologies.

*Advise stakeholders and IT Director of possible issues and problems with issued software specifications.

*Contribute to the conception and architecture of new software systems.

*Maintaining and improve skill set regardless of level of development activity within the department.

*Participate in code reviews and problem solving as required.

*Create and maintain technical documentation as required by projects and other work.

In return for your skills my client is looking is looking to pay a salary of between £40000 and £50000 and they are looking to interview and hire asap! Please apply asap for immediate consideration!
