Python Software Engineer / Developer (Python C++ Linux). Global Real-time Market Data provider is seeking a skilled Python Software Engineer for a 12 month contract to help integrate connectivity workflows with clients including APIs, schedules and triggers and connectivity. There are several projects in the pipeline including moving scripts from Python 2 to Python 3; porting software packages from UNIX utilities to Python and Perl; adding tooling and fixing JavaScript issues in the UI.

You'll be based in amazing City offices with open plan desk space, breakout areas, quiet spaces and a range of onsite facilities such as a free fully stocked food hall area.

Requirements:

Strong software engineering skills with Python and ideally C++

Experience with large, real-time distributed systems

Good knowledge of Linux OS

Good knowledge of Test Automation, TDD

Ideally you will have experience with Perl and experience of improving an older codebase

Job Role: Python Software Engineer / Developer (Python C++ Linux); Location: London, City; Rate: £600 to £650 p/day (Inside IR35); Term: 12 months; Start: Immediate / ASAP
