The Role
You will be responsible for providing networking and operating system fault resolution for the in-service mission system environments and you will be involved in the full software development lifecycle of multiple programmes.
You will be working as part of the growing Airborne Solutions Team which delivers aviation engineering expertise across a wide range of projects to both military and civil customers worldwide.
You will be supported through both formal and on-the-job training to help you develop your career and maximize your potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing support ticket resolution for the Sentinel programme.Supporting development of future secure operating system baselines.Supporting future network implementations.Providing guidance to the software engineers on security requirements for software development.Developing documentation required to support software releases to the aviation environments.Maintaining and developing the software development environment used by the software engineers.Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
Design and implementation of Microsoft Windows environments (2003 to 2019), including implementation and design of complex Windows group policies for secure environments.Experience of CISCO networksA logical problem solver, who can operate effectively under project and time constraints.Able to use their initiative to identify opportunities to improve process and performance to enhance the service provided to the customer.Experience evaluating systems and network devices and enterprise networks for IA/Security vulnerabilities
Desirable:
SC ClearanceSome knowledge of Microsoft team foundation server.CCNA (Routing & Switching) or working towards CCNA.Understanding of working in a Military aviation environment.The ability to support legacy system migration and support legacy system technologies.
