Technical Support Engineer (Linux AWS Infrastructure Cisco Windows). Major global fund platform is seeking a positive, process-driven Technical Support Engineer to join them in carving a revolutionary path in the Financial Services Industry.

The company is dedicated to producing highly innovative, unique ways to automate and digitalise the global investment funds marketplace. They currently have over 2000 clients in 42 countries, processing £190 billion of investment value each month. As a Technical Support Engineer you'll play a critical role in supporting the organisations daily operation with plenty of opportunities to develop your skills across multiple areas.

As a Technical Support Engineer you'll partner with talented teams of engineers to deliver mission critical infrastructure ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. You'll keep computer systems and network devices up and running on a tight SLA. You'll also have the opportunity to get involved with project work, networking, 2nd line application support, liaising with vendors, automating systems wherever possible and documenting standard procedures and protocols, so there will be plenty of opportunities to develop your skills.

In this Technical Support Engineer role you'll join a highly collaborative team environment covering regular shifts; 0900 - 1700 on week one, followed by 1000 - 1900 on week two (one day in lieu to covering a Saturday on the week one shift). You'll be based at offices in the heart of London where you can enjoy free breakfast on a Friday and catered lunches twice a month.

Requirements:

You have previous experience in a Systems Support Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer

You have experience configuring and troubleshooting Windows and Linux environments

You have extensive networking experience (CISCO CCNA); routers, switching, BGP, OSPF, VPN

You have strong working knowledge of troubleshooting, VPS's, SANs and VMWare certified

You have good scripting skills (Bash, PowerShell, Python)

You have experience with Automation software (Chef, Terraform)

You're a positive team player, keen to get stuck in to get the job done and committed to excellent customer service

Desirable: Cloud experience
