This is a new role within a new team for UKAEA. The Asset Reporting & Systems Manager will be responsible for defining and delivering against the asset information objectives outlined within our strategic asset management (SAMP) plan, including an emphasis on efficient and effective specification of asset data and developing, embedding, delivering and continuously improving the supporting tools and processes.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Process
- Lead the effective application of the asset management data standards. Includes ensuring that standards are adhered to (e.g. pursuing and checking critical asset information from across UKAEA, periodic information audits, exercising super user status)
- Maintain and continuously improve relevant asset management software related business processes, data standards and supporting guidance

Tools
- Assist with the definition, selection, implementation, application and ongoing improvement of appropriate asset management software tools (e.g. creation of a system architecture that provides effective linkage with other systems, periodic recommendations for improvements, co-ordinate and leverage end-user technical testing for system changes)
- Act as business subject matter expert and super user of UKAEA`s asset management software tools (e.g. generate asset management KPI reports and dashboards for decision making, co-ordinate loading of bulk maintenance data, interrogate and troubleshoot user issues)

People
- Define, develop, manage and deliver training related to asset management software and asset management data standards
- Provide ongoing coaching to drive the creation, collation and use of effective asset information throughout the business (e.g. asset managers, planners, maintainers etc.)

About You
Ideally, you will strengthen and complement our existing team with experience that includes:
- Developing and embedding new ways of working within an organisation (people, process, tools)
- Delivering asset management in an operationally demanding business with complex plants
- Implementing an EAM (Enterprise Asset Management), CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) or FM (Facilities Management) system
- The interrogation and direction of databases (e.g. SQL)
- Understanding and driving the resolution of technical issues - both related to maintenance and information systems
- Delivering asset management within an operationally demanding, high complexity environment (e.g. health service, nuclear, petrochemical, utilities etc)

Your education should include a relevant qualification in a technical discipline (or equivalent experience) such as an HNC, HND, C&G or NVQ Level 3.

We`re planning on an initial remote interview if you are shortlisted.
An on-site interview may follow, including a chance to tour some relevant plant. This will help you understand a little more about our organisation, site and the work that we do.
