Application Support Engineer

Would you like to help change the culture and business practises of the Engineering businesses across the Air Sector? We currently have a vacancy for an Application Support Engineer at our site in Warton.

As an Application Support Engineer, you will be working in an Agile working environment to help ensure the delivery of software applications to the Engineering businesses ensuring projects are to appropriate technical standards and meeting agreed costs & timescales.

As part of a multi-skilled team you will have the opportunity to experience agile approaches and use the latest Atlassian toolset to collect and report project data in a role that impacts the development and delivery of projects across the whole of the Air business.

Your main responsibilities as an Application Support Engineer will involve:

Assist with the installation, administration and configuration of the Atlassian toolset (Jira & Confluence)

Control configurations to allow releases to be delivered to the business

Actively manage the data quality captured within Jira ensuring that it is collected in accordance with the technical management plan

Ensure that traceability of information is maintained

Assist in reporting to the programme review the status of the deliverables from Jira Skills

Manage and maintain the application software and data set

Your skills and qualifications as an Application Support Engineer:

Experience and background within Application Support

Experience in working on Complex Projects for example Siemens Teamcenter/CATIA

IT Knowledge and software installation & configuration

Ability to analyse the data and create reporting dashboards

Knowledge of ITIL (desirable)

Experience using the following toolsets would be highly desirable Atlassian toolset (Jira & Confluence)

You will have the ability to speak the same language with the technical teams to translate executed work into data that can be used to control and measure the execution of the program and ensure that data integrity is maintained. A willingness to learn new agile techniques and approaches to design and project execution. Advocate agile ways of working both within and externally to the team

Location: Warton Salary: £37, 654 + Depending on experience
