Java Developer / Software Engineer (Java 8 Kotlin SpringBoot AWS). FinTech that is helping to revolutionise consumer banking through the use of advanced data centric, Cloud based technology is seeking a technologist Java Developer for a six month contract.

As a Java Developer you will design and develop customer focused on-boarding and client reporting systems. You'll be focussed on coding multi-threaded core Java systems with a focus on concurrency and asynchronous programming within a modern development environment encompassing CI/CD, microservices and AWS.

You'll be based in Central London and can enjoy a range of perks from open plan offices with all the latest kit; a well stocked kitchen / canteen area, highly motivated team atmosphere and flexible working opportunities.

Requirements for Java Developer:

Strong core Java development experience including multi-threading, concurrency and asynchronous systems (Kafka a bonus)

Experience working with SpringBoot, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes

Strong SQL skills

Good knowledge of APIs

Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals (Data Structures, Design Patterns, OOP)

Collaborative, keen to work on complex systems and contribute to the full software development lifecycle
