It operates in all lines of insurance, with more than 42,000 employees throughout the world.Overview:As a Senior Solutions Architect, will play a key role within the Service Delivery organisation reporting to the Global Head of NetworksYou will be required to operate in a Global structure, acting as the technical expert and lead for over 115 sites and 14,000 employees. The current network design, architecture and infrastructure is complex and dated. There are a number of challenges to address around WAN routing, Network Security, Cloud integration, legacy acquisition onboarding completion and hardware standards.

Role Responsibilities:Participate in the definition of the strategy for global network and communications servicesDrive forward the technical evolution of the Network infrastructure through collaboration with key stakeholders, looking for cost efficiency and effective use of innovation.Lead the development of the Network technology roadmap, that can be subsequently referenced at a global level and used to standardize delivery of solutions within global network.Work with key stakeholders to ensure an appropriate communication strategy is implemented and maintained to drive the collaboration and understanding of the architecture vision, roadmaps and blueprints.Support the Global Architecture Community to research appropriate new technologies and build proof of concept environments to demonstrate the proposed solution(s) meet or exceed expectations based on clearly stated requirements.Set the priorities of the Network Architecture Team and make sure that expected results are delivered in due course.Manage and control allocated budgets.Ensure the on-going development of skills within the Global Network function, and influence the development of opportunities for the Global Architecture Community.Responsible for all high-level design documents ( HLD ) for all associated network technologies.Responsible for the development and continued updated of all global network standardsEnsure alignment with the application architecture teams Experience required:ITIL foundation certified.Network strategy development capabilities and experienceHigh-level knowledge of financial Management and Budget Control.In-depth understanding of Network technologies (LAN, WAN, Network optimization, WIFI, Security equipment…) and associated principal vendors (Cisco, Citrix, F5, riverbed, Avaya….)Broad range of understanding of ITIL, ITSM and industry best practices.Ability to grasp complex technical concepts rapidly and to rate their potential against real business requirements.Ability to convey the value of technology and in practical terms explain the business benefit and functionality.Broad range of understanding of Cloud providers service offering (mostly PaaS and IaaS).Proven experience of WAN provider management Please note - this role will require global travel on occasion.
