Labview Systems Engineer now needed to join a growing development provider in Cambridge with the opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting projects.  The successful Labview Systems Engineer will have a mix of Systems and Software skills with a sound understanding of communications and using electronic hardware and device drivers.  Suitable applicants must have software design expertise using Labview, control systems development using the National Instruments tools chain and a good awareness of mechanical and electrical systems and their interaction with software in an electro-mechanical system. Applicants should have a relevant degree, and ideally 2yrs NI software development expertise.  The Labview Systems Engineer should be able to hit the ground running and happy to get stuck into a variety of work.  It is desirable to also have some of the following knowledge: electronics design skills, embedded software, Matlab, Simulink, control systems using the Beckhoff tool chain, an understanding of physical systems. The Labview Systems Engineer will be responsible for specifying, designing and implementing test solutions for a range of different customers.    You should be happy interacting with customers and should be a good communicator.  You should also hold a current driving licence and be happy to travel to see clients.
