Senior Quality Engineer - Plymouth - £36,000 + benefits Role Type: PermanentLocation: Plymouth A leading engineering support services organisation are looking to bring in an experienced senior quality assurance engineer to join their team for a prestigious infrastructure development project.This is a fantastic time to join a global leader who provide complex engineering services to high profile and mission critical clients. MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE Quality lead for single projects within Major Infrastructure Projects Business UnitAssure Quality Management Plans, Inspection & Test Plans and Life Time Quality Records are fit for purposeSupport Project during the execution of work packages to assure the quality deliverables are achievedRepresent Quality at Project meetingsManage QAE team as appropriateConduct internal and external audits and support 3rd party audits when requiredParticipate in and facilitate improvement initiativesLiaise with external bodies and customer representatives for the execution of their assessmentsManage and verify corrective actions raised as a result of both first, second and third party auditsAdvise and work with projects on quality matters KEY SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEISO 9001:2015Knowledge on continuous improvement techniquesExperience in auditing is essential KEY BEHAVIOURS AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIESEssential Skills:Demonstrate a 'Can Do' attitudeWilling to take on any reasonable quality related taskGood communication skillsSelf-starter with good priority management skills EXPERIENCEDesirable: Experience of managing Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the Engineering sector, including supply chain functions. Knowledge of change management and improvement programmes.Knowledge of MOD quality systems and requirements. An understanding of nuclear site licence obligations and management arrangements.Construction background QUALIFICATIONSDesirable: A recognised professional qualification in quality management.Certified Lead Auditor.NVQ Level 4 or recognised professional status or significant experience in relevant engineering discipline with NVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline.
