We have a vacancy for a capable Software Developer with an engineering and/or physics background to join our team as a Senior Model Engineer. A combination of Windows and UNIX environments are used, with software primarily written in C#, C++ and Fortran.Key Responsibilities:
Technical activities will include capture and analysis of requirements or other change requests, design, development, testing and analysing of software, and maintaining documentationAs a Senior Model Engineer, you will also provide supporting role to the Team Leader in the coordination and direction of the team's work programme
You will join a team of eight Model Engineers, who maintain and develop a set of computational models that underpin crucial defence analysis and planning. Skills & Qualifications:
Degree educated (Preferably Physics, Mathematics, Electronics) Sound grasp of the key principals and techniques of physics and maths-based computer modellingA passion for solving technical challenges as part of a teamDefence and Aerospace background C#, C++ and FortranMatlab & Simulink (Desirable) Must have SC clearance as a minimum This is a great opportunity to do a job you will love, Please send your CV ASAP.
