An exciting and innovative design and manufacturing business who've been around for close to 4 decades are still on the up... They're on the lookout for a Firmware Developer to join their advanced team and to work alongside the current Electronics and Software team.

As a firmware developer for this organisation you will have a range of duties including providing input in technical reviews, testing and validating all new developments/improvements with in-depth system testing and managing full life-cycle development of new and existing products.

Required qualifications and skills:A degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or MathematicsEmbedded developmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skills which support custom algorithm and down hole communication protocol designFamiliar with good coding practices - this includes source controlEmbedded CAn understanding of digital electronics with the ability to follow circuit diagrams and use tools such as oscilloscopes and logic analysersDesirable Skills: Experience with LabviewProgramming in a PC based language for GUI development would be beneficialSTM32 micro-controllersKey areas of responsibility and accountability: Specify, design, and code embedded firmware using IAR Workbench for the STM32 microcontrollersProvide input in technical reviewsManage full life-cycle development of new and existing products.Interface with other members of R+D to determine hardware resource requirementsTesting and validation of all new development/improvements with in-depth system testingProvide support to our service personnel and clientsIf you are interested in this position and believe you are a good fit please send your CV to Rick Metcalfe
