Real Time Recruitment Solutions https://www.rtrs.co.uk Senior RF Design Engineer, Towcester, up to £55,000As a key member of a highly skilled multi-discipline R and D team, you will work closely with the Principle Design Engineer and Engineering Director looking after the design, analysis, specification, build and test of new designs.
This is a thrilling time for this design and manufacturing electronics business as they look to increase their product portfolio and double the headcount of their engineering department. It is vital that you have a breadth of knowledge across RF system architecture and circuit design as well as the latest RF components and technologies.
Role Responsibilities PCB and mechanical layout.RF simulation using large and small signal models.Proven track record using Microwave Office.Design of linear high-power wide band RF amplifiers up to 200watts using for example, GaN and LDMOS technology.Design of associated DC supplies including switch mode power supplies (SMPS) and DC sequencing circuitry for power amplifiers.Design of filters and antennas.Design of up convertors and down convertors.Key Skills
Design knowledge and a thorough knowledge of RF communication systems/products.Practical knowledge of testing prototype RF circuitry using standard RF laboratory equipment.PCB design layout knowledge . Good knowledge of designing linear RF systems.Good knowledge of digital modulation techniques particularly COFDM.Proven track record using Microwave Office.Knowledge of direct modulation and demodulation method.Good understanding of 3D mechanical design.Salary and Benefits
