A leading Public Sector client currently requires an Equality Service Manager for an FTC 6 month assignment paying up to £54,500, based in Guildford.Responsibilities Lead, develop and design the clients, Diversity and Human Rights Strategy, create and manage the delivery plan ensuring key deliverables are achieved, preparing performance reports, delivering presentations and other information as required by the relevant governance boards.To manage the clients Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda on a day to day basis, including the work of the various working groups to ensure the client makes demonstrable progress to meet the requirementsProvide high quality professional advice and guidance to senior managers on a variety of complex Diversity issues. Resolution is required at both a tactical (short term) and/or strategic (medium/long term) level, dependent on the issue. Experience RequiredRelevant experience of working in the field of Equality, Diversity & Inclusion at a senior officer levelPublic sector experience is a must for this opportunity.Proven and well evidenced interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead, inspire and address groups or individuals, including senior managers and excellent presentation and training skills.A thorough understanding of legislation; The Equality Act 2010, Public Sector Duty, Data Protection, Official Secret, GDPR, Human Rights and guidance affecting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.Extensive knowledge and experience in leading an Equality, Diversity and Inclusion function and have solid networks in the equality, diversity and inclusion arenaPlease do get in touch if you would like to discuss this opportunity further by submitting your most up to date CV in the first instance.
