QlikView / QlikSense Developer

£65000 - £70000 per annum

My client is a leading Lloyds of London insurer with operations spanning across the globe. They are looking to add to their Business Intelligence team working on the development and support of QlikView/QlikSense projects mainly for senior finance stakeholders across the global business.

This is an end to end development role whereby you will have involvement across the full SDLC from gathering the requirement, documentation, analysis, design, ETL, development, testing, training and provision of ongoing support to stakeholders.

Projects may involve optimisation / redesign of existing reporting scripts and documents, as well as ground-up development on completely new initiatives.

You will have a strong eye for detail and will also be familiar with good UX / UI concepts and ready to apply best practice in these areas to your work.

The holder must have excellent stakeholder management skills as liaising with internal stakeholders will be a key part of this position. It is not a pre-requisite that you have a knowledge of the Insurance industry knowledge however, experience developing similar products within the financial services industry role would be beneficial.

Aside from the above its vital that you are enthusiastic about engineering quality and interested in sharing good practices with the wider team. You will have a positive, constructive approach with an emphasis on collaboration.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Working with the Business Intelligence Manager at specification meetings to understand users requirements and the underlying business logic behind the requirement.

* Design, maintain, and build solutions using QlikView or Qlik Sense including the querying and manipulation of data using a variety of other tools such as Cognos and Excel.

* Review, optimise and re-design existing QlikView or Qlik Sense solutions.

* Share knowledge, tips and techniques with other team members.

* Provide ongoing support and training to users including the running of workshops for business stakeholders.

* Production of documentation for users, and technical documentation for use by other members of the team.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

* Minimum at least 2 years experience in developing complex QlikView solutions.

* Has worked in a team and applies team development standards and naming conventions.

* Have strong demonstrable development experience in the specified technical areas listed above.

* Ability to adapt to rapidly and constantly changing stakeholder requirements.

* Have strong analytical and interpersonal skills.

* Experience in a business facing role.

* Be a strong team player.
