My client a leading educational organisation are looking to recruit a Infrastructure Security Consultant to be based in there London office. You will support, maintain, monitor and develop network and security infrastructure and will provide support to all UK Offices and international offices. You will provide technical support for project delivery from initial design through implementation and support. Securing both WAN and LAN by establishing and enforcing policies, defining and monitoring access.

You are the first point of contact for all security related incidents and compliance, making sure any security incident is resolved and any follow up actions are implemented. Following our incident response plan, you will be working with IT and city and guild's security team for compliance, incidents and standards.

You will work with others across the city and guilds group to standardise patching, reporting and compliance, putting in measures in place to detect security vulnerabilities early.

You will drive security patching by producing Nessus scans or reports generated by Nessus agents, making necessary remediation using Active Directory/GPO, SCCM, Ivanti, SIEM solution and SolarWinds.

You will work closely with other members of the team to deliver other projects and BAU work to a very high standard. This includes secondary support on office 365 services and our Citrix environment.

You will be taking ownership of our new security tools and will be responsible to maintain our security standard on servers and workstations across datacentres within City and Guilds group.

Maximising server performance by monitoring and analysing performance, troubleshooting problems and outages, scheduling upgrades.

*Mapping and documentation of the city and guilds security policies in to internal process and implementation of the policies accordingly.

*Daily checks on Citrix infrastructure.

*New or Existing SIEM solution management/implementation.

*Drive patching using security tools.

*High Level and Low-Level Design Documentation.

*Active Directory management.

*Office 365 user and policy management.

*To be point of reference for technical escalations from service delivery to infrastructure.

*Take technical lead and coordinate medium to large scale projects.

*Manage escalation of 3rd line calls troubleshooting of system problems.

How success will be measured

*Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external contacts

*Effective technical influence demonstrated in projects.

*Demonstrable up-skilling of technical knowledge in wider team.

*To provide 3rd line support for incidents and provide problem management.

*Securing both Virtual and Physical hardware systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access;

*Maintains and supports the server estate both on premise and hosted in the cloud.

*reporting operational status by gathering, prioritising information and managing projects;

*remote support of on-site engineers and end users/customers during installation;

remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation;

*capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centres;

*liaising with project management team, 3rd line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis;

*speaking with customers via email and phone for initial requirement capture. Managing upgrades within a time manor;

Key Skills

*Advance group policy management.

*Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and management of agent-based Nessus product.

*Experience with implementation of Cyber Essential Plus in a large enterprise.

*Knowledge of security standards such as ISO27001.

*Experience in variety of security tools such as SIEM solution, AV management etc.

*Experience of working in a technical team

*Managing support infrastructure for multiple users across servers, desktop and web-based applications.

*Co-ordination and prioritisation of complex parallel production incidents and problems through to resolution

*Working across a mix of technology platforms and environments

*Personal track record of supporting medium and large-scale business solutions in partnership with a range of business and technical owners.
