Location: Barcelona, Spain Salary: 40,000 - $50,000 Job title: Big Data Developer Technology: lambda, aws, serverless, javascript, node.js Job Type: Permanent Our international client in the healthcare software industry is in need of a Big Data developer with experience in AWS. This role is within the Corporate Technology which is focused on building Data Platforms; current project focuses on the delivery of technical solutions which creates a data lake that would consume, model and store data. Additionally, technical solutions will be required for managing the data (data management tools) and processing the data (transforms, validations, aggregations) and reporting/accessing the data.

About the role: As the Big Data Developer, you will work on the ingesting, storing, processing and analyzing of large data sets. The primary goal will be to develop and implement data pipelines that extracts, transforms and loads data into an information product. Developing and maintaining data pipelines implementing ETL processes. Work closely with a data science team Implementing data analytic pipelines. Help define data governance policies and support data versioning processes. About You: You have a BS/BA degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science/Engineering. You have been exposed/ have taken part in building highly scalable and resilient applications on cloud technologies like AWS, GCP or Azure Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages lambda, aws, serverless, javascript, node.js Hands on experience working with Big Data tools and frameworks like Hadoop, Spark, Map Reduce, Avro, Hive and Impala You can facilitate the development of data integration efforts with development team in addition to hands on design and development of large complex ETL jobs. 1+ years of experience with tools like Kafka and Spark, Cloud Data warehouse and Hadoop In-depth knowledge of streaming technologies like Kafka, Kinesis or Spark Streaming Comfortable delivering software iteratively using Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, LESS or SAFE The challenge of working in an emerging market and solving complex problems for our clients is a large one.
