Software Developer / Scala Engineer (JVM AWS Real-time Data Streaming). Are you a keen technologist with a love of sports?

Would you like an opportunity to combine your two passions and join a growing sports data development team in a trailblazing technology company? You'll be a key player in a development group directly responsible for the fast-growing sports data section of the business.

In this Software Developer role you will act as a key technical pivot within a dynamic, energetic team, working on a strong pipeline of Greenfield projects. You'll get stuck in to hands-on development work from the start, supporting the team to solve a broad range of challenges whilst supporting a rapidly expanding segment of the streaming business. You'll play a critical role in the development of the core platform, to distribute low-latency, highly reliable sporting data to the substantial customer base across the world.

You'll work with an up to the minute, diverse tech stack including Scala, Java 11, Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS and Lambda so there will be plenty of opportunities to refine your craft and learn new and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

You have commercial experience as a Software Developer (Scala and Java 11)

You have experience with JVM technologies and libraries (e.g. AKKA, Hazelcast)

You have good knowledge of relational databases (ideally Postgres)

You have good API design skills with knowledge of HTTP principles

You're a positive team player who enjoys working collaboratively

You're a keen sports fan!
