Chief Technology OfficerChief Technology Officer - CTO - Cardiff - E-Commerce/ Retail - up to £100k DOE + benefits An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced technology leader / Chief Technology Officer to join a well known, and established organisation as they look to continue with their ambitious IT transformation. The role Establish and deliver on the company wide technical vision, strategy and road map in line with the over business strategy.Inspire and vitalise a culture of technological innovation throughout the business continuously hunting for opportunities to solve operational challenges with technology.Drive the development of a digital culture in the organisation so that people understand the journey, their contribution to making it happen and are eager to be involved.Act as the strategic partner and sounding board to the Executive Directors and the Board for all things technology, influencing and informing key strategic decision making.Ultimately accountable for delivery and transformation of the IT/Digital function through departments such as IT Operations, Application Development, Digital Delivery and Architecture ensuring the department provides an enabling service to the business strategy.Responsible for technical decision making, including championing and challenging relevant IT business cases.Galvanise the IT department and wider business to ensure everyone understands all elements of the technical roadmap and are focused on delivering and exceeding these.Manage the technology budget; seeking efficiencies and delivering a return on investment Skills/ Experience Required Extensive experience as a CTO or CIO in an E-Commerce organisation is essential.Track record in developing and delivering on strategic technological road maps is essential.Significant change management experience is essential.Clear and proven leadership skills, strong team player.Commercial flair with sound financial analysis skills.A coaching and mentoring style that develops the team.Degree in Business, Computer Science or similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
