A Software Development Engineer is sought after by a fabless semiconductor in Reading working on chip to chip link solutions. You will be rewriting and consolidating the existing software and scripts as well as developing new functions for the chip and lab instrument control.  You will also be developing new code to support design activities and customers.   As a Software Development Engineer you will be required to have solid experience in the following areas:C and C++ programming within an embedded environmentExperience of a high level object orientated programming language such as PythonStrong experience with two of the following platforms; Linux, Windows, Unix, OSXThis role will involve occasional travel and can be based either in their Reading office or their Northampton office.
