Business Data Analyst Location: Kraków Overview The principal responsibility of the Business Data Analysis job category is to manage the analysis of processes  and to oversee and manage all or some of the associated activities during change implementation. They may be located in a variety of areas of HSBC, they may be located in projects as well as in established BAU teams. Key Accountabilities:Assess the viability of new requests and provide proposals and solutions to the business that meet business requirements, align with IT strategy and maximise reuse opportunitiesUse domain,enterprise/application and data knowledge to deliver business centric solutionsTranslate business data requirements into system requirements using the appropriate terminology to facilitate the progression of a project through elaboration and definitionMap source data into target model (STM)Articulate and identify non-functional requirementsProvide business driven IT consultancy, giving information about potential technology solutions, costs and timescales to enable the business management team to make informed choices about their investments in IT.  Requirements:Demonstrable experience of working in a data-related role: data analysis, data modeling, data architecture and/or data management with hands-on technical experience of using associated technologiesGood knowledge and understanding of the power and value of data with an ability to apply technology solutions to meet business needs / requirements and deliver organisational strategy5 years of experience with at least 3 years in business analysis role on complex projects across countries or regionsUnderstanding of banking/financial services industry and/or shared services organisationsExperience in business analysis, data analysis or consulting activitiesExcellent written and verbal communications skillsExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsAbility to work independently and proactivelyExperience with running meetings in English over video or teleconferenceExperience in metadata and cloud projects would be an advantage
