Responsibilities:Break down Wi-Fi / Mesh related product requirements into software requirements providing design / implementation input as appropriateWithin software feature delivery lifecycle, perform architect review and sign-off of Wi-Fi / Mesh related tickets prior to commitment into development sprintProvide point of synchronisation with our partners Architecture teams acting as conduit of bilateral information share over existing Wi-Fi / Mesh related development and future Wi-Fi / Mesh roadmapProvide source of subject matter expertise on Wi-Fi / Mesh related features to support development and test teams deliver these features into Home Comms productsWhere needed, provide technical arbitration over Wi-Fi / Mesh related issues representing our businesses strategic objectivesRequired Skills:Software architecture of Wi-Fi access point systems including device drivers, settings management APIs and supporting management applicationsSoftware design patterns and principles of architecturally sound implementation with emphasis on abstraction, interfacing, encapsulation, coupling, scalability and re-useEmbedded Linux architectures from bootloader up to user-space applicationsLinux subsystems including device-drivers, user-space / kernel interaction, system, inter-process communicationWi-Fi technologies;11 standards (n, ac, ax)Wireless LAN TopologiesWi-Fi Alliance standardsClient management solutions, what, why & howSoftware design patterns and principles of architecturally sound implementation with emphasis on abstraction, interfacing, encapsulation, coupling, scalability and re-useDifferent API mechanisms including when and how to useNetwork technologies & protocols including IP, Ethernet & LAN management applicationsData representation and communication (e.g. JSON, XML)End to end embedded software development for technology products, from requirements capture, design, development, test and post release maintenanceSoftware delivery workflow tools (e.g. Jira, Redmine) Suitable candidates should submit their CV in the first instance.
